COVA Project: Combating Period Poverty

I run a nonprofit called the COVA Project. It’s a menstrual health nonprofit, which somehow I’ve become the period girl, which was really not on the cards for me at all.

But I’m like, yes, that’s fine. That’s who we are now.

And we combat period poverty around the world. We work in Liberia, Ghana, Uganda, and Malawi, and we’ve provided 24,000 girls with long lasting menstrual health solutions so that they can stay in school, go to university, go to work, actually be involved in social activities, and have a chance at a dignified life with opportunity left, right, and center so that’s my core, that’s who I am.

That’s what I believe in.
